Gizara's series of infrared photographs entitled "Surreal Escapes" is a mysterious set of images that transport the viewer to other-worldly places. "Lost Angeles" depicts decrepit bungalows, signs and store fronts that are quickly disappearing in lieu of their shiny, new, characterless replacements. "Strange Beauty" is a series of iconic images taken while traveling around the world and "The Others" appear to be a nostalgic and tieless series of portraits in landscapes.

Gizara's infrared photographic series "Surreal Escapes" was shown at the Annenberg Space for Photography's Iris Night Series and a solo show at the G2 Gallery in Venice. Saint John's Hospital in Santa Monica displayed a rotating exhibit of the the "Strange Beauty" photographs on the Atrium Digital Wall and throughout the hospital.
