GIZARA ARTS

Lisa Gizara is a Fine Artist and Photographer. Educated at the University of Massachusetts in South Dartmouth, Gizara has been a successful freelance artist and photographer for over 25 years. Her commercial and fine art photographs have

been published internationally on billboards and in numerous publications including People Magazine, Variety, La Weekly, LA Times Magazine, Wired, and many others. Her photos recently appeared in Showtime’s “Californication.” Gizara’s extensive work with the public relations firm Roger’s & Cowan has included film and television stills work, as well as portraits of celebrities.


Gizara’s fine art photography can be found in private collections in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, New York City and Las Vegas. She has  been awarded two grants to document Westford, Massachusetts the small town in which she grew up. Her thirst for visual beauty has led her on travels around the world including Indonesia, France, Italy, Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, California, Malaysia and Thailand.. Her recent attempt at a trans-Pacific crossing aboard a 48’ sailing ketch was published as a photographic essay in Ventura Life and Style Magazine.  She has been quoted in an article on the artistic process in The Reader’s Digest. Gizara is currently a photojournalist for Ventura Life & Style Magazine. Her photos and story about 16 year old Zac Sunderland who embarked on a world breaking, solo-circumnavigation on his 36’ sailboat. The article will appear in the July, 2008 issue.


Gizara  lives in Santa Monica, California with the love of her life Eric, along with Rosie, Maddie, and Olivia their furry-faced, four-legged family.
